I actually bailed on climbing Mount Hallasan, which was a shame as it was one of my main reasons for visiting the island. On that note, if you’re planning on hiking up Hallasan Mountain in winter, you need to carefully study the weather maps so you know you won’t get caught in troublesome weather.
